Rose Idibia, the mother of veteran singer Innocent Idibia, widely known as 2Baba, has called on Nigerians to urge the Deputy Majority Leader of the Edo State House of Assembly, Natasha Osawaru, to leave the musician.
Rose said this in a viral video on Thursday evening.
She stated that 2Baba is presently not in his right frame of mind due to the divorce proceedings with his estranged wife, Annie.
Rose said: “Good evening, Nigerians. My name is Mrs Rose Idibia, the mother of 2face.
“This message is for Miss Natasha Osawaru of Edo State. I’m calling on all mothers in Nigeria to help me beg her to free my son.
“My son is going through a divorce process, and he is clearly not in his right senses now. I know my son well. That is not him.
“Please Natasha, the beads you put on his hand and on his neck, remove them and free him.”
2Baba proposes to Edo lawmaker Natasha
The latest development comes after 2Baba proposed to the lawmaker.
2Baba and the lawmaker were seen in a viral video on Thursday dancing together to the admiration of some of their friends.
The famous singer later proceeded to present Osawaru with a ring after which they were locked in a long embrace.
He had earlier confirmed his romantic relationship with the lawmaker.
2Baba announced his separation from Annie via a statement shared on his Instagram account on Sunday, January 26.
Speaking in a video shared on Instagram on Tuesday, February 11, 2Baba declared his readiness to marry Natasha, adding that the lawmaker has nothing to do with his separation from Annie.
The singer said: “I love her. I want to marry her.
“I said what I said. All of us will be alright. Honourable Natasha, I see she has been dragged, she has been called all sorts of names. She has been labelled as a home breaker. She is a young, brilliant and amazing woman.
“She has nothing to do with what’s happening between me and Annie. But I see everybody trying to allegedly want to rope her into everything. Yes, I love her. She is amazing, she is cool, I want to marry her.”
