Three Lagos-based company employees were on Friday arraigned before the Chief Magistrates’ Court sitting in Ikeja for allegedly stealing N10.27 million belonging to their employer.

The defendants ― Adebola Adeaga, Benjamin Oladeji, and Collins Enaimoni ― are standing trial on a two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing.

The defendants, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The prosecutor, ASP Adegoke Ademigbuji, told the court that the offences were committed between August and September at Addas Ultimate Limited, Ikeja.

Ademigbuji alleged that the defendants collected N10.27 million from the company’s cashier and failed to remit it into the company’s account.

According to him, the fraud was discovered when an external auditor was invited.

The prosecutor said the defendants could not account for the money.

He said the offences contravened Sections 287 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

The Chief Magistrate, L. A. Owolabi, granted the defendants bail in the sum of N800,000 each with two sureties in like sum.

Owolabi adjourned the case until December 18, 2025, for mention.
