The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, has urged voters in Ekiti State to support President Bola Tinubu and other party candidates in the 2027 general elections.
Yilwatda made the appeal on Thursday at the APC presidential campaign rally in Ado-Ekiti, where he joined Vice-President Kashim Shettima, members of the party’s National Working Committee, governors and other stakeholders to present its candidates to the electorate.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Information Strategy, Abimbola Tooki, the APC chairman said Tinubu’s performance and reform initiatives had earned him another term in office.
He described the President as a performer and reformer, citing the administration’s policies on taxation, education and infrastructure as evidence of its commitment to national development.
Yilwatda said the new tax framework was designed to protect low-income earners and small businesses from excessive tax burdens, allowing them to retain more resources for personal and business development.

He also highlighted the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), describing it as an intervention to expand access to higher education and ensure that financial difficulties do not prevent eligible students from pursuing their academic ambitions.
According to him, beneficiaries also receive a monthly upkeep allowance of N20,000 to support their living expenses.
On infrastructure, the APC chairman cited road projects linking Ado-Ekiti and Akure, alongside other completed and ongoing projects, as evidence of the Federal Government’s commitment to improving transportation and economic activities in the state.
He said the Tinubu administration’s development agenda went beyond policy announcements, pointing to what he described as practical interventions aimed at improving Nigerians’ living conditions.
Yilwatda urged the electorate to vote for APC candidates across all elective positions, including the National Assembly and Ekiti State House of Assembly, arguing that having party members in the legislature would strengthen the implementation of the administration’s policies.
He also called on APC members and supporters in the state to remain united and mobilised ahead of the elections, expressing confidence that the party would consolidate its national political strength in 2027.
The chairman said the Renewed Hope Agenda would continue to deliver progress and prosperity, urging Nigerians to renew their confidence in Tinubu and the APC.
