No fewer than six people have been killed while 65 others were injured as windstorm hit Kafin-Hausa Local Government Area of Jigawa State.
The Executive Secretary, Jigawa State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Yusuf Sani, told journalists that the windstorm devastated many communities in the state.
Sani said SEMA would conduct damage assessment in the worst hit communities in the state with the view of ascertaining the extent of the destruction.

He added that the agency was working to provide shelter to the displaced who took temporary refuge with their friends and family who were not affected by the disaster.
Six persons lost their lives and 65 others who sustained injuries in the disaster had been hospitalised.
“Our personnel and that of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) are in the area assessing the level of damage,” Sani stated.
