The abductors of Nollywood stars, Clemson Cornel, well known as Agbogidi, and Cynthia Okereke, have demanded $100,000 ransom for the victims’ release.
This was disclosed by the President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Rollas Ejezie, on Saturday.
The police had confirmed that the Nollywood stars were kidnapped on Friday, while returning from a film location at Ozalla community in Enugu State.
The police stated that Okereke’s car was found abandoned on Enugu-Port-Harcourt expressway.
However, the AGN President, on Saturday, said the abductors are demanding $100,000 ransom for their release.
“It’s a confirmed kidnap case. They have made contact and demanded 100k dollars,” Ejezie said.
The AGN had earlier urged all actors to avoid going to the outskirt of cities to film except full security cover was provided to ensure their safety.
He further called on the security agencies to speed up investigation that would lead to the safe rescue of the abductees.
