Bandits have killed one person and abducted Isah Daya, the district head of Kanya in the Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
It was gathered that the district head was kidnapped alongside eight others on Saturday, October 5, 2024.
The bandits were said to have also injured three persons during the attack.
Gunmen kill APC LG chairman in Kebbi
The Kebbi State Police Public Relations Officer, Nafui Abubakar, confirmed the incident on Sunday, October 6.

Abubakar disclosed that a combined security team led by the police had launched a manhunt on the gunmen to rescue the abducted victims.
The police spokesperson added that the Kebbi State Government has provided the needed logistics to tackle banditry in the state.
