The operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested 36 suspected internet fraudsters in Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State
The EFCC disclosed this via a statement on Wednesday, August 20, 2025.
The commission said the suspected internet fraudsters were apprehended in a sting operation at various locations within Port Harcourt on Tuesday, August 19.

It stated that the arrest followed credible intelligence about the suspects’ involvement in internet-related fraud.

The anti-graft agency listed items recovered from the suspects to include exotic vehicles, a Q-link Motorcycle, various brands of phones, and laptops containing incriminating and fraudulent documents.
The EFCC added that the suspected internet fraudsters will be charged to court upon the conclusion of an investigation.
