Several residents have been abducted by gunmen during an attack on Kuyan Bana Village in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Eyewitnesses disclosed that the attack occurred at about 11:50 p.m. on Thursday, October 23, 2025, when the gunmen, armed with rifles, stormed the community and began shooting sporadically, causing panic among villagers.
The assailants were said to have moved from house to house, abducting yet-to-be-ascertained number of residents before fleeing to an unknown destination.

It was gathered that the troops of the Nigerian Army later mobilised to the area, cordoning off the surrounding forests and launching a search-and-rescue operation.
The Kaduna State Police Command had yet to confirm the incident as of press time.
