Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted some civil servants from Kogi State while travelling to Abuja to take part in the ongoing Computer-Based Test (CBT) promotion examinations conducted by the Federal Civil Service Commission.
The civil servants were said to have been abducted around Kabba, Kogi State.
The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HCSF), Didi Walson-Jack, in a statement issued on Thursday by her spokesperson, Eno Olotu, described the incident as distressing and unfortunate.
Walson-Jack expressed sympathy with the abducted workers, their families, and colleagues across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).

“Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time. We join all well-meaning Nigerians in praying for their safe and speedy release,” she said.
Walson-Jack, who expressed confidence in the ability of security agencies to ensure the safe rescue of the abducted officers, urged the civil servants and the general public to remain calm and vigilant, reaffirming the Federal Civil Service’s commitment to the welfare and safety of its workforce.
Walson-Jack added: “We stand together as one Civil Service family, united in faith, hope, and solidarity, praying earnestly for the safe return of our colleagues.
“Their safety and well-being remain our utmost priority.”
