Soon after, Akor Adams doubled the lead, finishing a swift attacking move that further lifted the Super Eagles’ momentum and quelled Algerian hopes of a comeback.
Nigeria’s performance was marked by superior ball possession, sustained pressure, and improved sharpness in front of goal.
The Algerian side, who had earlier progressed after an extra-time win in the Round of 16, struggled to carve out meaningful chances against a disciplined Nigerian defense.
With the win, Nigeria advances to the AFCON semi-finals, where they will face either Morocco or their respective quarter-final opponent as the competition edges closer to its climax.
