PalmPay Nigeria has issued a disclaimer distancing itself from what it described as defamatory content circulating on social media, clarifying that the company is not a loan provider and warning against the unauthorized use of its brand identity.

The company stressed that “PalmPay is not a loan company,” adding that any claims suggesting otherwise are false and misleading.

While acknowledging the importance of creative expression, PalmPay said it would not tolerate content that misrepresents its services or damages its reputation. It also cautioned against the unauthorized use of branded merchandise, including PalmPay shirts and caps, for such purposes, noting that legal action could be taken against offenders.

PalmPay further described itself as a licensed mobile money operator in Nigeria, providing secure and seamless financial services.

The company said it currently serves over 35 million users nationwide and remains committed to promoting financial inclusion.
