The publisher of Ovation Magazine, Dele Momodu, has reassured the public that efforts are ongoing to settle the child custody dispute between Davido and his cousin, Sophia Momodu.
The dispute concerns Imade Adeleke, the daughter of Davido and Sophia born on May 14, 2015.
In 2024, Davido filed a motion at a Lagos State High Court seeking unrestricted access to Imade, but Sophia maintained that she had never denied him the opportunity to see their daughter.
Last week, Davido withdrew the custody case, clarifying that his aim was never to gain sole custody, but to establish a structured co-parenting arrangement.
However, Momodu, in a recent post on Instagram, said he had received numerous messages from fans urging him to intervene and help reconcile the situation.
Momodu reassured the public that the family is actively working behind the scenes to resolve the matter and called for prayers for everyone involved.

The veteran journalist wrote: “Here in Liberia, @davido is treated as the god of music. I’ve been visiting here for over two decades but this visit is different. I came to commiserate with my friend and Sister, former Vice President H.E DR JEWEL HOWARD-TAYLOR on the passing of her only child, CHARLES PHILIP NEILSON TAYLOR JR.
“Since landing here, I have been inundated with messages from fans of David, and ladies who love @thesophiamomodu to bits… One of them is this ‘fashion designer’ @lorine.doe who said I should step in and settle the ‘quarrels.’
“My dear Sister, thanks so much. Nothing to worry about. Everything is going to be alright 👍… We are working behind the scenes. Pls, keep everyone in your prayers…”
