Popular television host Frank Edoho and his estranged wife, Sandra Onyenucheya, have exchanged accusations of infidelity, abuse and financial misconduct amid a growing online controversy over their collapsed marriage.
The dispute escalated after Onyenucheya publicly accused Edoho of cheating, emotional abuse and neglecting his responsibilities as a father. In response, the media personality denied the claims and alleged that his wife’s relationship with singer Chike contributed to the breakdown of their union.
Edoho claimed he discovered evidence of an alleged affair but initially tried to preserve the marriage for the sake of their children. He said he confronted the singer and urged him to stay away, but the relationship allegedly continued.
According to him, Onyenucheya encouraged the relationship despite his efforts to salvage their marriage. He also stated that he supported her education and business ventures, including helping her establish her interior design career.
The broadcaster further revealed that he briefly left the marriage for about three months before returning after persuasion. He added that divorce proceedings were later initiated after tensions escalated, including disagreements over financial responsibilities for their children.
Edoho also claimed he possesses audio recordings to support his allegations and may release them, noting that some leaked recordings suggested the divorce was not solely his fault.
However, Onyenucheya, in a detailed post on social media, painted a different picture. She accused Edoho of repeated infidelity, emotional and psychological abuse, and financial irresponsibility throughout their marriage.
She alleged that he engaged in multiple relationships, including with actress Mbong Amata, and claimed he failed to contribute meaningfully to family expenses, accusing him of relying on her financially.
Onyenucheya further alleged that Edoho discouraged her from keeping their second child and abandoned his duties as a father. She maintained that she remained committed to the marriage before eventually choosing to leave for her wellbeing.
The controversy widened after she mentioned several women she alleged were romantically linked to Edoho. Those named have since denied the claims, with one, Amaka Okeke, stating that her relationship with Edoho was strictly professional and later a friendship.
Reality TV personality Tega Dominic also dismissed the allegation in a brief social media response.
Meanwhile, online conversations intensified after Onyenucheya and Chike shared the same love-themed song, “You’re The Closest To Heaven,” prompting speculation among fans.
Edoho, however, indicated he would avoid further public commentary, noting that he and Onyenucheya had been separated for nearly two years and that he had since moved on emotionally.
The unfolding dispute has drawn widespread reactions on social media, with users divided over the allegations as both parties continue to defend their positions publicly.
