Troops of Operation Enduring Peace have confiscated 38 motorcycles during an enforcement operation targeting the ban on motorcycle movement in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The operation was carried out by troops of Sector 4, Sub-Sector 41, in Gashish Village as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen security and curb criminal activities in the area.
The early morning operation resulted in the seizure of 38 motorcycles allegedly being used in violation of the existing restriction on motorcycle movement.
The confiscated motorcycles were taken to the Headquarters of Sector 4 for documentation and further necessary action.
According to security sources, the enforcement exercise is part of sustained operations aimed at preventing criminal elements from using motorcycles to launch attacks or move freely across vulnerable communities in Plateau State.
The sources added that troops would continue to enforce the restriction as part of broader efforts to improve security and protect residents across the state.
