Meanwhile, the other faction of the PDP under the leadership of National Vice Chairman, North West, Bello Hayatu Gwarzo, organised a different primary election that is yet to be concluded at Sani Abacha Youths Centre in Kano.

The Star correspondent, who was at the venue of the parallel primaries, reports that delegates were still casting their votes.

Aspirants participating at the faction election are Yunusa Dangwani, Yusuf Dambatta, Muaz Magaji, Ibrahim Ali-Amin, Sadiq Wali and Mustapha Getso.

There is legal battle in Kano State chapter of the PDP over whose leadership is legitimate between Sagagi-led leadership and Gwarzo-led leadership.

Federal High Courts in Kano and Abuja have confirmed legitimacy on the Sagagi-led faction executives on May 24 and 25, 2022.
