The Federal Capital Territory is set to host the 2026 Abuja Business and Investment Expo (ABIE 3.0), a three-day investment summit aimed at attracting local and foreign investors, promoting public-private partnerships and driving economic growth in the nation’s capital.
Organised by Abuja Investments Company Limited (AICL), the expo will hold from August 5 to 7 at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja, under the theme, “Building Nigeria’s Capital: Investment as a Catalyst for Economic Growth.”
Speaking ahead of the event, the Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of AICL, Ambassador Maureen Tamuno, described the summit as a strategic platform for positioning Abuja as Nigeria’s leading investment destination.
She said the expo would connect investors with viable business opportunities, promote enterprise development, strengthen public-private partnerships and showcase the Federal Capital Territory’s investment potential.
According to Tamuno, the initiative aligns with the infrastructure development agenda of the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, and President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which seeks to improve Nigeria’s investment climate.
She noted that Abuja’s improving business environment has boosted investor confidence, citing the 2025 Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) Subnational Ease of Doing Business Report, which ranked the FCT fourth among Nigeria’s 37 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
“ABIE 2026 is designed to translate this progress into practical investments, strategic partnerships and measurable economic outcomes,” she said.
The opening ceremony will feature a keynote address by the Director-General of the Securities and Exchange Commission, Dr. Emomotimi Agama.
Other speakers include the President’s Special Adviser on Economic Matters, Tope Fasua; Botswana’s High Commissioner to Nigeria, Philda Nani Kereng; veteran actress and filmmaker Joke Silva; and several business executives, investment experts and policymakers from Nigeria and abroad.
The closing keynote will be delivered by Ghana’s Deputy Chief of Staff (Administration), Nana Oye Bampoe Addo.
Tamuno said the summit is expected to attract investors, diplomats, development partners, entrepreneurs, corporate executives, exhibitors, researchers, women-led businesses, youth innovators and policymakers from within and outside Nigeria.
She added that AICL has evolved into a trusted investment facilitation agency over the past two years, with growing interest from local and international investors reflecting Abuja’s emergence as one of Africa’s fast-growing investment destinations.
