The Vice-Chancellor of Achievers University, Owo in Ondo State, Prof. Samuel Aje, has been confirmed dead.
It was gathered that Aje died in the early hours of Thursday.
The cause of the death of the Vice-Chancellor, who was said to have travelled to Lagos for Christmas break last Friday, remain unknown as of the time of filing this report.

Confirming his demise, the Head of Media and Protocols of the university, Adebayo Olagunju, said the institution awaits the cause of Aje’s death.
Olagunju, who described the VC’s death as “sad and unfortunate”, said his family would issue a statement on the incident soon.
Aje became the Vice-Chancellor of Achievers University in June 2020.
