Actor David Osagie dies after filming on set

Popular Nollywood actor, David Osagie, fondly called Sir David, is dead.

Osagie, well known for playing the role of a king in many movies, reportedly died hours after filming on a movie set.

His demise was disclosed by Nollywood actress, Ngozi Ezehwho, via her Instagram page on Wednesday.

Ezehwho said the actor was not sick but slept and didn’t wake up the following day.

She wrote: “I hate to say this but we have lost another Nollywood king, Sir David.

“He wasn’t sick, it just happened. How do we explain this, another loss in Nollywood. Oh Lord have mercy. I Mourn again oh.”

Also speaking on the death of Osagie, Actress Ibiwari said: “This can’t be explained oh, he filmed yesterday and went back to rest hoping to resume shoot today but never woke up.

“Another king role interpreter is gone.What is this oh God,” the Nollywood actress wrote on her Instagram page.

The deceased was also a scriptwriter, producer and professional talent developer.

His death is coming barely a few days after actress Chinedu Bernard slumped and died in a church in Enugu State.

Actor David Osagie is survived by a wife and children.
