The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Sen. Abdullahi Adamu, has told the APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, to get ready to assume Nigeria’s presidency in 2023.

Adamu, who spoke at the Town Hall meeting between the APC candidate and stakeholders in the mining sector in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital on Thursday, said he was echoing President Muhammadu Buhari’s statement.

“Except God, President Buhari is the highest authority in Nigeria today. Buhari has said it and it shall come to pass,” the APC chairman stated.

Urging Tinubu to stand and the audience to also join him, Adamu declared that Tinubu will be President Buhari’s successor.

According to a statement made available to The Star by the Director, Media and Publicity, APC Presidential Campaign Council, Bayo Onanuga, the party’s chairman urged voters in Nasarawa State and across the country to vote massively for the ruling party and its presidential candidate in the 2023 general election.

He equally urged Tinubu to get ready for the task to shoulder the demands of leading Nigeria in 2023.

Responding, the APC presidential flag-bearer said help was on the way to industrialise the state for prosperity.

On his part, a former governor of Nasarawa State, Sen. Tanko Al-Makura, presented a crafted gift to Tinubu in appreciation of being a media-friendly politician.

Others at the event were Governors Simon Lalong (Plateau), Babagana Zulum (Borno), and Aminu Masari (Katsina); and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila.
