A former Lagos State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Adeniji Kazeem, SAN, has been elected as the new chairman of the Isale Eko Descendants’ Union( IDU).
Kazeem, the grandson of the late Oba of Lagos, Musendiku Adeniji-Adele II, was unanimously elected for a three-year term at the annual general meeting of the union on Friday, June 23, 2023, at the IDU secretariat in the Lagos Island area of Lagos.

He took over from Yomi Tokosi, an economist and banker who held sway for the past three years.
Others elected to handle the affairs of the IDU for a new term were Aderemi Bashua, SAN, (Vice Chairman), Prince Adewale Ojora (General Secretary), Omolola Adele-Oso (Financial Secretary), Lanre Shasore (Culture Secretary), Dale Ajayi-Bembe (Deputy General Secretary), and Yomi Suenu (Welfare Secretary).
