‘We’ll kill them in 20 days’: Bandits demand N1bn to release Kaduna students

The Kaduna State Police Command has however yet to speak on the incident as of press time.

The latest attack came barely four days after terrorists killed one person and abducted eight others in an attack on Banono Angwaku community in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The terrorists had earlier abducted 61 locals in Buda community also in Kajuru LGA of Kaduna State.

The Star recalls that gunmen suspected to be bandits, on March 7, also kidnapped 286 students of Government Secondary School (GSS) Kuriga in Gwagwada District, Chikun LGA of the state.

The bandits later demanded N1 billion for the release of the kidnapped students and vowed to kill the victims if the ransom demand is not met in 20 days, effective from the date of the abduction (March 7).

Kajuru and Chikun Local Government Areas had in recent two weeks become the hotbed of kidnapping, causing tension in Kaduna State.
