Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reduced the ex-depot (gantry) price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), otherwise known as petrol, from N890 to N825 per litre, effective from Thursday, February 27, 2025.
The Dangote refinery reduced the ex-depot price of petrol by N65.
With the reduction, petrol is expected to be sold at N860 per litre in Lagos.
The refinery announced this in a statement on Wednesday, February 26.
The Dangote refinery stated that the petrol price reduction was designed to provide essential relief to Nigerians in anticipation of the upcoming Ramadan season, while also supporting President Bola Tinubu’s economic recovery policy by alleviating the financial burden on the citizens.
