Again, herdsmen kill many in Benue communities

Suspected herdsmen have reportedly killed many residents during attacks on Agatu and Apa Local Government Areas of Benue State.

It was gathered that the attacks occurred on Monday evening.

One of the victims in Agatu LGA was identified as Sunday Dutse, a native of Odejo and younger brother to a former local government chairman.

Dutse was said to have been killed along the Odugbeho-Ogbaulu road.

It was further learnt that three young men were ambushed and killed in EdikwG’Icho, a community in Apa LGA.

Two of the victims were said to be from EdikwG’Icho, while the third hailed from Ugbokpo.

The Benue State Police Command had yet to speak on the incident as of press time.
