The Labour Party (LP) has lost at the polling unit of former presidential candidate Peter Obi in the ongoing governorship election in Anambra State.
According to results announced by INEC officials at Polling Unit 019, Agulu Ward 11, Anaocha Local Government Area, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Nicholas Ukachukwu, polled 73 votes, defeating the Labour Party’s George Moghalu, who scored 57 votes.

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate came third with 38 votes.
The loss at Obi’s polling unit comes amid reports of widespread vote buying across the state, a practice the former governor has repeatedly criticised as harmful to Nigeria’s democracy.
