Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti, has confirmed that Casemiro is set to leave Real Madrid for Manchester United.
Ancelotti said Casemiro wants to leave the club in favour of a “new challenge” – with United set to agree a deal for the Brazilian.
“I talked to Casemiro this morning. He wants to try a new challenge, a new opportunity. I and the club understand it.
“With what he’s done at this club and the person he is, we have to respect it. There are talks right now, nothing is official, but he wants to leave.
“We wish him all the best in his next challenge,” Ancelotti said.
Also speaking on the imminent move, football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, in a tweet on his verified Twitter handle on Friday, said: “Casemiro has communicated also to Real Madrid teammates that he has accepted Man United bid – already saying goodbye to all of them.

“Casemiro and his camp are waiting for clubs to complete the agreement then he will travel to England. No chance for LFC game.”
Another tweet read: “Casemiro to Man United, here we go! Real Madrid accepted all details of the bid, clubs preparing contracts right now. €60m fixed fee, €10m add-ons.
“Casemiro has full agreement on four year deal, option until 2027.
“Medical and then visa to be sorted during weekend.”
The 30-year-old midfielder won three La Liga titles and five Champions Leagues during nine years with the Spanish champions as he formed a formidable midfield trio with Luka Modric and Toni Kroos.
However, Casemiro’s place in Ancelotti’s preferred starting line-up came under threat following the signing of Aurelien Tchouameni this summer for a fee that could rise to 100 million euros.
