Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has been involved in a road crash in the Makun area of Ogun State.
It was gathered that the accident occurred along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway on Monday, December 29, 2025.
Eyewitnesses and first responders at the scene told reporters the vehicle conveying the boxer collided with another car under circumstances that remain unclear.
Two persons were confirmed dead at the scene, while Joshua reportedly sustained minor injuries and received immediate attention from rescuers.

A credible source told The Star that the Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) Joshua was travelling with collided with a stationery truck, adding that the two deceased were his bodyguard.
Traffic officials and police officers were said to have cordoned off the crash site as investigations into the cause of the collision continue.
Officers from the Federal Road Safety Corps and the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency were said to be on the scene.
