APC announces Kaduna Reps primaries results as Abbas, Ango Abdullahi’s son emerge winners

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State has announced the results of its House of Representatives primary elections, with several prominent figures and consensus candidates emerging across various federal constituencies.

Among the winners are the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, who secured the ticket for Zaria Federal Constituency unopposed, and Sadiq Ango Abdullahi, son of elder statesman Ango Abdullahi.

The results were announced on Saturday at the APC state secretariat in Kaduna by the Chairman of the House of Representatives Primary Election Committee, Yakubu Hosseini, who said the exercise was conducted in line with the party’s constitution and guidelines.

According to the results, Abbas polled 930 votes to emerge unopposed in Zaria, while Sadiq Ango Abdullahi scored 920 votes in his constituency.

In Zango Kataf/Jaba Federal Constituency, Amos Gwamna Magaji emerged through consensus with 1,930 votes. For Kaduna North, Samaila Abdul Suleiman won with 3,049 votes, defeating Abdulaziz Abubakar Kaka and Abubakar Mahmoud.

In Kaura Federal Constituency, Benjamin Gugong defeated Donatus Mathieu, while Mukhtar Zakarin Chiawai emerged as consensus candidate for Kauru with 1,750 votes.

Similarly, Felix Joseph Bagudu won the Kachia Federal Constituency seat with 1,580 votes, while Daniel Amos was declared winner for Jema’a/Sanga. Gabriel Salle also emerged victorious in Kagarko/Kachia Federal Constituency.

Other results announced included victories for Muhammad Jallo, who polled 1,171 votes, and Bashir Suleiman Juntu, who secured 1,787 votes in their respective constituencies.

Kaduna State APC Chairman, Atiku Sanke, formally accepted the results and declared the exercise concluded.

Officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission were present to monitor the process and collate results from across the constituencies.
