APC clears Aiyedatiwa, Oke, 14 others for Ondo guber primaries

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has cleared the 16 aspirants seeking its ticket to contest the November 16, 2024, governorship election in Ondo State.

The seven-man screening committee, led by Sen. Joshua Lidani, gave all the aspirants the nod to contest the primary election slated for April 20.

A report submitted to the APC Directorate of Organisation in Abuja on Saturday said the committee considered eligibility, suitability, character, and support base, among other areas.

Among those cleared by the APC were incumbent Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa; the senator representing Ondo South Senatorial District, Jimoh Ibrahim; and Olusola Oke.

Also cleared were former APC National Vice-Chairman (South-West), Isaac Kekemeke; a former member of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Olusoji Ehinlanwo; and Olugbenga Edema.
