The All Progressives Congress (APC) has shifted its House of Representatives primary election by one day, moving the exercise from Friday, May 15, to Saturday, May 16, 2026.
The party said the adjustment affects only the House of Representatives primary, while the dates for other primaries ahead of the 2027 general elections remain unchanged.
The APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, announced the development in a statement issued on Thursday in Abuja.
According to the revised timetable released by the party, the House of Representatives primary will now hold on Saturday, May 16.
The Senate primary election is scheduled for Monday, May 18, while the State House of Assembly primary will take place on Wednesday, May 20.
The governorship primary remains fixed for Thursday, May 21, while the presidential primary election will hold on Saturday, May 23, 2026.
Morka urged party members and stakeholders to take note of the new date for the House of Representatives primary and comply with the updated schedule.
