Commissioners of Youth from All Progressives Congress (APC)-governed states have reaffirmed their loyalty to the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) and pledged to champion youth-led transformation as a key driver of national progress.
The commitment was contained in a communiqué issued at the end of the PGF Quarterly Meeting of Youth Commissioners, held in Kaduna, hosted by Governor Uba Sani.
The commissioners, aligning with the vision of the PGF under the leadership of Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, expressed “unwavering loyalty” to APC governors and endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which they said prioritises youth in Nigeria’s socio-economic transformation.
They commended Tinubu’s “visionary leadership” in harnessing the energy and creativity of young Nigerians, and applauded APC governors for sustained investments in skills training, digital infrastructure, entrepreneurship, the creative economy, and sports.
The communiqué also lauded interventions tackling drug abuse, youth restiveness, and unemployment, noting their contributions to national stability and social inclusion.
Resolutions from the meeting included the adoption of a PGF Unified Inter-State Youth Development Framework to boost cross-state collaboration, align policies, and scale innovative solutions for youth empowerment.
The commissioners also resolved to integrate digital skills, innovation, and entrepreneurship into state youth policies to create a “future-ready, productive, and inclusive” generation.
They thanked Governor Sani for hosting the meeting and the PGF Secretariat for its coordination, while pledging to deepen partnerships, strengthen youth policies, and drive collaborative action across APC-governed states for national progress.
