Apple’s first foldable smartphone is facing complaints from early buyers who say their iPhone Duo screens developed cracks, lines and dead pixels within hours or days of use.
Images shared on Reddit appear to show cracks around the hinge of the inner display, with some damage running down the centre of the screen.
The scale of the reported problem remains unclear, and it is not yet known whether the complaints point to a broader design or manufacturing defect.
Apple is reportedly replacing some affected devices, with damaged units expected to be sent to its engineering teams in California for examination.
The iPhone Duo went on sale in the United Arab Emirates on Friday, with prices ranging from Dh8,499 to Dh13,599, making it the most expensive iPhone released to date.
