The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, is currently meeting with governors elected on the platform of the party behind closed doors in Abuja.
Although the details of the meeting could not be ascertained as of the time of filing this report, it was gathered that the meeting may not be unconnected with the selection of Atiku’s running mate for the 2023 presidential election.
Governors present at the meeting with the former Vice President include Nyesom Wike (Rivers), Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Douye Diri (Bayelsa), Aminu Tambuwal (Sokoto), Samuel Ortom (Benue), and Bala Mohammed (Bauchi).
