Awujale: Ruling house rejects K1’s membership claim

The Fusengbuwa Ruling House in the Ijebu-Ode area of Ogun State has rejected the membership claim submitted by Fuji music icon, Wasiu Ayinde, popularly known as K1.

In an official letter dated December 11, 2025, and signed by key executives of the ruling house — including Chairman Lateef Owoyemi, Deputy Chairman Adedokun Ajidagba, and Head of the Jadiafa Royal House, Akinola Oledina — the family declared K1’s submitted linkage form “null, void, and of no consequence.”

The ruling house stated that its investigation found no proof that K1 belongs to either the Jadiafa Royal House or the Fusengbuwa Ruling House.

It further disclosed that the lineage form the veteran singer submitted was improperly certified by someone who is not a registered member of the Jadiafa Royal House.

Fusengbuwa Ruling House said the form was also pre-signed on December 8 — two days before K1 himself signed it — raising concerns about its authenticity.

The Fusengbuwa Ruling House added that the individual who purportedly certified the form, Omoba Adetayo Eruobodo, has no standing to sign such documents on behalf of the family.

Following these findings, the ruling house declared that K1’s claim to membership is invalid and “of no consequence.”
