Awujale to be buried in Ijebu-Ode at 4pm

The Ogun State Government has fixed 4:00 p.m. on Monday, July 14, 2025, for the final burial rites of Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona, in the Ijebu-Ode area of the state.

The Ogun State Government announced this in a statement on Monday.

Oba Adetona died at the age of 91 on Sunday, July 13.

Buhari’s burial rescheduled for Tuesday in Daura

The state government said the remains of the monarch would be laid to rest at Ogbagba Court, Igbeba, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.

“We urge all residents to continue to uphold his memory in prayers and to remember his family during this solemn period of mourning,” the government added.
