Bandits break truce, attack Katsina communities

Armed bandits have attacked Madattai and Gaba-Lafiya villages in Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State, killing one person and rustling livestock.

Security analyst Bakatsine disclosed the incident in a post on X late Tuesday, noting that the assault occurred last Tuesday despite a peace agreement reached in February between the bandits and Jibia LGA authorities.

According to him, troops swiftly pursued the assailants and successfully recovered the stolen animals.

As of the time of filing this report, the authorities have not issued an official statement on the attack.
