Bandits kill 4 farmers, kidnap 8 others in Katsina

Gunmen suspected to be bandits have killed no fewer than four farmers and abducted eight others at Nahuta village in the Batsari Local Government Area of Katsina State.

Confirming the incident on Sunday, the Katsina State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Abubakar Aliyu, said the attack occurred on Saturday, December 16, 2023.

Aliyu said the farmers were harvesting their crops when the bandits struck.

He disclosed that one of the farmers who managed to escape got gunshot wounds.

“The suspected bandits attacked the farmers, opened fire on them thereby killing four and injuring one; they also abducted eight others,” the police spokesman said.
