Voting was disrupted at Polling Unit 009, Abogubde/Sagba, in Ede North Local Government Area of Osun State after the BIVAS machine reportedly developed a technical fault.
The development triggered protests among voters and polling agents, who demanded explanations from officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) at the unit.
The incident occurred shortly after Governor Ademola Adeleke cast his ballot at the same polling unit without experiencing any difficulty, prompting some agents to allege possible sabotage.
Several voters were left waiting at the polling unit as electoral officials worked to resolve the malfunction.
The officials appealed for calm and patience, attributing the problem to poor network connectivity and assuring voters that efforts were underway to restore the system and continue the accreditation process.
