Boko Haram terrorists have reportedly killed a pastor at the Church of Christ in Nations, Luka Levong, in Kwari, Geidam Local Government Area of Yobe State.
It was gathered that the Boko Haram terrorists also killed the church’s treasurer, Maina Abdullahi, and four other persons in the early hours of Friday, January 5, 2024.
Some residents disclosed that the victims were killed in an attack launched on the community by the terrorists at about 2 a.m. on Friday.
The residents told Channels TV that the insurgents also burnt down several houses and a church during the attack, adding that corpses were evacuated to the Specialist Hospital in Geidam.

When contacted, the Yobe State Police Public Relations Officer, Dungus Abdulkarim, said he does not have detailed information about the incident.
“Geidam is a frontline area in the war against insurgency and the Nigerian military should be contacted,” he said.
The Nigerian Army has however yet to speak on the incident as of press time.
Geidam is located 177 kilometers away from Damaturu, the state capital, and is about 40 kilometres away from Nigeria/Niger Republic border.
The latest incident is coming barely a few days after the Boko Haram members killed 12 persons and abducted one other in Gatamarwa and Tsiha communities in the Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State.
The Star had reported that the Boko Haram terrorists in military uniform attacked the communities at about 5 p.m. on Monday, New Year’s Day.
