Buhari appoints first female Accountant General, Oluwatoyin Madein

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Dr Oluwatoyin Madein as a substantive Accountant-General of the Federation (SGF).

The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan, made this known via a statement issued on Friday, May 19, by the Director of Communication in her office, Mohammed Ahmed.

Yemi-Esan noted that the appointment of the new AGF followed the successful conduct of the selection process to fill the existing vacancy.

She said the appointment took effect on Thursday, May 18, adding that Madein will resume immediately.
