The Ogun State Police Command says it has commenced an investigation into the shooting of Nigerian comedian and skit maker, Samuel Perry, popularly known as Broda Shaggi, in the state.

Broda Shaggi was said to have sustained a gunshot injury while filming a comedy skit in the Sango-Ota area of Ogun State and was subsequently hospitalised.

The incident was said to have taken place under the Sango-Ota bridge on Sunday afternoon, although details surrounding the alleged shooting remain unclear.

In a statement issued on Friday, May 13, 2026, the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, said the command had not established the authenticity of the claim.
