The management of Bayero University, Kano (BUK), has expelled no fewer than 27 students and rusticated eight others for their alleged involvement in examinations misconduct.
This was disclosed via a statement issued on Sunday by the BUK Director, Directorate of Examinations, Admissions and Records, Amina Abdullahi.
“The Senate at its 400th meeting held on Thursday, January 26, 2023, expelled 27 students and rusticated eight others for allegedly being involved in examination misconducts.

“The Senate’s decision was in accordance with the categories 20, 17 (AI, III, IV, V, VI, VII and XII) of the University’s General Regulations,” Abdullahi stated.
She added that 22 other students were warned by the Senate.
