Candidates shortlisted for the ongoing Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board recruitment exercise have been directed to appear for their oral interview in specified white attire.
The Board said the oral interview, which represents the final phase of the 2024/2025 recruitment process, will begin on September 7, 2026.
In a statement issued on Thursday by its Head of Press and Public Relations, Okeh Juliet, the CDCFIB said the dress code was clarified following enquiries from candidates about acceptable clothing for the exercise.
Under the directive, candidates are expected to wear a white short- or long-sleeved T-shirt, with female candidates allowed to wear the long-sleeved option if they choose.
The approved outfit also includes white shorts or white long trousers. Female candidates may opt for either, while white sneakers and white socks are compulsory.
Female candidates may also wear headscarves, although the Board said this is optional.
The CDCFIB warned that compliance with the dress code is mandatory, stressing that candidates who fail to meet the requirement would not be admitted into the interview venue.
“This clarification supersedes the earlier one and becomes necessary following enquiries from candidates on acceptable attire,” the statement said.
The oral interview is the concluding stage of recruitment into the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nigerian Correctional Service, Federal Fire Service and Nigeria Immigration Service.
The Board had earlier directed applicants in the Graduate Category to confirm their shortlisting status through the official recruitment portal between August 31 and September 2, 2026.
Applicants who applied with NCE, OND and SSCE qualifications are expected to check their status between September 7 and 9.
Shortlisted applicants are required to choose an interview centre closest to them, select an available date and time, and print their invitation letters.
The Board also reiterated that the recruitment exercise is free and warned candidates against giving money to individuals claiming they can secure employment for them.
It wished all shortlisted candidates success in the oral interview.
