Chimamanda loses one of her twin sons

Renowned Nigerian author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and her husband, Ivara Esege, have tragically lost one of their twin sons, Nkanu Nnamdi.

The baby passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, following a brief illness.

The loss has been met with condolences from fans and well-wishers across Nigeria and beyond, as the literary community mourns with the family.
