The Lagos State Police Command has announced that the physical and credential screening exercise for applicants in the 2025/2026 recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force will commence on Monday, March 9, 2026.
The command’s spokesperson, SP Abimbola Adebisi, made this in a statement issued on Thursday, March 5.
Adebisi said the screening would run daily from 7:00 a.m. between March 9 and April 18 at the Police College in Ikeja, Lagos State.
Adebisi stated that the exercise is specifically for applicants who are indigenes of Lagos State and who successfully completed the online registration for recruitment as General Duty and Specialist Police Constables.
She said all applicants appearing for the screening must be dressed in a clean white T-shirt and shorts and must also present several mandatory documents neatly arranged in two white flat files.
The police spokesperson stated: “Among the required documents is the invitation slip (with assigned table); credential screening form; original National Identity Number (NIN) printout or card issued by NIMC; and O’ Level (GCE/SSCE) certificate.

“Others are birth certificate or declaration of age; LGA/state of origin certificate; trade test/certificate (for Specialists only); duly completed and signed guarantors form with photocopies and passports of referees attached; and original and duplicate copies of credentials are to be neatly packaged in two separate white flat files, with recent passport photographs attached.
“Any candidate who fails to present the above-listed items will not be considered for screening. Applicants are strongly advised to strictly adhere to their scheduled dates and other guidelines provided.”
Adebisi emphasised that the screening process was free of charge and would be conducted strictly on merit in line with professional standards.
Adebisi warned members of the public to report any individual or group demanding payment in connection with the recruitment process.
