Davido announces marriage plans, says he’s tired of being a player

Multiple award-winning Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, has disclosed plans to get married soon, saying he’s tired of being a player.

The Afrobeat singer made this known in a video shared on his Insta story late Thursday.

Davido shared a few TikTok videos where was seen coming out of his Lamborghini Aventador after parking it in his garage with the caption: “I think I’m gonna get married soon, cos…”

The next video shared by the ‘Aye’ crooner revealed the reason behind his decision as it displayed people singing a line of Davido’s hit song, ‘Fall’.

“I don’t wanna be a player no more,” the people sang in the video.

The DMW boss had proposed to her now-estranged baby mama, Chioma Rowland, in 2019.

This came some days after their introduction.

Their relationship, however, took a nosedive in February 2021, when Davido was spotted holding hands with an Instagram model, Yafai, while on holiday in the Caribbean.

Meanwhile, Davido and Chioma were spotted recently in a video hanging out with some of the singer’s family members, including his elder brother, Adewale Adeleke, cousin, B-Red, and personal lawyer, Bobo Ajudua.

The self-acclaimed Omo Baba Olowo (child of a rich man) had recently acquired a new plot of land at the Banana Island area of Lagos State.

Davido, who shared the pictures of the land on his Instagram page, wrote: “To God be the glory! just acquired my new land to build my dream home!!”

“Let’s build our dream home,” he also wrote on Twitter.

The purchase of the land came barely a month after the famous singer disclosed that he received a piece of land in Banana Island from his billionaire father, Adedeji Adeleke.

“Woke up to another /and from popsi in banana again! Such a dope father! Love u pops. I’m about to build some crazy shit for the kids,” Davido announced via his Twitter account on March 13, 2022.
