Davido celebrates success of sold-out ‘5 Alive Tour’ across North America

Afrobeats superstar Davido is celebrating the massive success of his 5 Alive Tour, which has seen him sell out 12 major venues across North America and rake in millions of dollars in revenue.

The celebration followed his recent performance at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Maryland on August 5th, where he expressed gratitude to fans and supporters. “We sold out every night and made millions of dollars. If you dream it, it’s possible. With God, everything is possible.

“With all the odds against me, we made it happen,” he said before cutting a celebratory cake.

Among the standout highlights of the tour was his show at Canada’s 19,000-capacity Scotiabank Arena—home to the Toronto Raptors—making him one of the few Nigerian artists, alongside Burna Boy, Asake, and Rema, to achieve such a feat.

The tour, which supports his fifth studio album 5ive, also showcases a new depth to Davido’s stagecraft, thanks in part to the musical direction of veteran Nigerian producer and composer Cobhams Asuquo.

Joining him on the tour are rising stars Moravvey, rapper OdumoduBlvck, and Afrobeats sensation Victony as supporting acts.

Davido will return to the U.S. for the final leg of the tour on November 20th, where he is set to headline the State Farm Arena in Atlanta for his annual AWAY concert.

With the 5 Alive Tour, Davido continues to cement his status as one of Afrobeats’ leading global ambassadors, further pushing the genre’s influence on the world stage.
