Divorce: West, Kardashian swap properties, agree on $200,000 child support

Former rapper, Kanye West, and reality TV star, Kim Kardashian, have agreed on divorce settlement.

In the deal, West will pay Kim Kardashian $200,000 per month in child support.

The pair split up their extensive real estate portfolio, with West on the hook to transfer one Hidden Hills property to Kardashian within 20 business days of execution of the agreement and Kardashian signing over a Calabasas property in return.

Kardashian is slated to keep homes in Malibu, Riverside, Calif., and Harrison, Idaho, while West is keeping various Southern California properties in addition to his Wyoming ranch, Belgium bachelor pad and Chicago childhood home.

Also, the divorced couple will share joint custody of their four children.

The couple have four children: North, 9, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 3.

The two parties should consult with each other on major decisions about their children’s welfare, the documents state.

Expenses for the children’s security, school and college will be shared.

The proposed 58-page settlement reveals Kardashian and West will get joint custody of their four children.

According to the document, each parent will have access to the kids on special days, such as their birthdays.

The Atlanta-born rapper will also be responsible for half of their kids’ healthcare expenses not covered by insurance, as well as 50% of their security and education costs, including tuition.

Some of the items the ex-partners must agree on include enrollment in a new school, therapy or counselling for the children, and participation in regularly scheduled religious activities.

West has pushed for his kids to attend his beleaguered Donda Academy, but it appears from the agreement that the kids are staying put at Sierra Canyon.

Per the filing, the children can’t move more than 60 miles from Kardashian’s Hidden Hills home before they finish high school or turn 19, whichever comes first, without the other parent’s consent or a court order, according to New York Post.

Kardashian got the peculiar monochromatic mansion — where West obsessed over each detail — in October 2021 after a buyout was negotiated.

The former couple has agreed to participate in mediation for at least three hours if a dispute arises. If one of them fails to engage, the other gets sole decision-making power, the filing states.

The marriage lasted eight years after Kardashian filed for divorce in 2021.

Both parties were declared legally single in March, with Kardashian also dropping “West” from her last name.

West, who has legally changed his name to Ye,

In several statements submitted earlier, Kardashian, 42, had said she “very much” wanted the marriage to be ended, adding that this would “help Kanye to accept” that the relationship was over.

Ye, 45, had previously fought against the separation.

He has faced controversy in recent months, and has been dropped by several brands, including Adidas, Gap and Balenciaga.

The rapper provoked widespread criticism earlier this year after attending Paris Fashion Week wearing a t-shirt bearing a “White Lives Matter” slogan – a phrase often used by white supremacists.

He then claimed his critics were being paid by a secret cabal of Jewish people, a common trope of antisemitism.

Earlier this week, Ye announced his intention to run for US president in 2024.

He previously ran in 2020, but gained just 70,000 votes.
