EFCC arrests 100 internet fraudsters in Enugu

The operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested 100 suspected internet fraudsters at different locations in Enugu State.

The suspected internet fraudsters were arrested in early morning operations by the EFCC operatives on Wednesday, June 5, 2024.

The anti-graft agency, in a statement, said the suspects were arrested following actionable intelligence about suspected activities of an organised syndicate of internet fraudsters operating along Ibagwa-Nike and other locations in the Enugu metropolis.

EFCC recovers N156bn, secures 3,175 convictions in one year

The commission listed items recovered from the suspects to include three exotic cars, mobile phones, and laptops.

The EFCC added that the suspected internet fraudsters will be arraigned in court upon the conclusion of the investigations.
