Eid-el-Kabir: APC chairman urges support for Tinubu’s reforms

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, has congratulated Muslims across Nigeria on the Eid-el-Kabir celebration, calling for renewed support for the reform agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Information Strategy, Abimbola Tooki, Yilwatda described Eid-el-Kabir as a sacred festival symbolising faith, sacrifice, obedience, love, and devotion to God.

He noted that the occasion reflects key virtues such as selflessness, unity, compassion, tolerance, and submission to the will of God, as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim, adding that these values are vital for Nigeria’s development.

The APC chairman said the lessons of the festival are particularly relevant at a time when the country requires patience, perseverance, and collective responsibility to achieve national progress.

He urged Nigerians, especially the Muslim Ummah, to promote peaceful coexistence and strengthen unity across ethnic, religious, and political divides.

Yilwatda also appealed to citizens to support Tinubu’s administration, noting that ongoing reforms are designed to stabilise the economy, improve infrastructure, enhance security, and create jobs.

According to him, while the reforms may demand sacrifice and patience, they are necessary to secure long-term prosperity and a better future for the country.

He expressed optimism that Nigeria would emerge stronger and more competitive under Tinubu’s leadership and called on citizens to use the Eid period to pray for peace, unity, and progress.

Yilwatda further prayed for Allah to accept the sacrifices of the faithful and wished Muslims a peaceful and fulfilling Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
