Ekiti 2022: PDP adjusts timetable, fixes guber primaries for January 26

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has adjusted its timetable and schedule of activities for the party’s primaries ahead of the June 18 governorship election in Ekiti State.

The latest development was made known via a statement by the National Organizing Secretary, Hon. Umar Bature, on Wednesday.

Bature stated that the ward congress to elect three-man ad hoc ward delegates earlier slated for Friday, January 7 to Saturday, January 8, 2022, has been shifted to Saturday, January 15, 2022.

He added that the local government congress to elect one national delegate per local government, which was earlier scheduled for January 15, 2022, has been shifted to Saturday, January 22, 2022.

The National Organizing Secretary further disclosed that state congress to elect the governorship candidate, which was earlier slated for Friday, January 28, 2022, will now hold on Wednesday, January 26, 2022.

Bature said: “All governorship aspirants, critical stakeholders, leaders and members of our Party in Ekiti state are by this guided accordingly.”
